Meet The Team
Cale Decker, PLS
Cale Decker is the owner of Decker Land Surveying, P.C., a company he started in 2016. With a career in surveying that spans over three decades, Cale has seen it all—from working on massive multi-million dollar projects to the finer details of small residential surveys. His journey in this field kicked off in 1992 at Myers and Associates, P.C. in Canastota, NY, where he honed his skills for more than 20 years before venturing out to start DLS.
For Cale, surveying isn't just a job; it's a passion that he approaches with the enthusiasm of a hobby. He prides himself on delivering top-notch, high-quality work and values nothing more than seeing his customers satisfied. This commitment to excellence is a testament to his expertise and love for the craft.
A Vernon Center native, Cale has stayed close to his roots, now living in Vernon with his wife and their dog, Leo. He's a family man at heart, with a daughter making her way in Albany, NY, and a son, Caleb, who's currently studying and swinging golf clubs at St. Bonaventure University.
When he's not out in the field or plotting the next big project, Cale enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like hunting, hitting the golf course, and cruising around in his 1984 Chevrolet C10. It's these moments away from work that keep him grounded and remind him of the beauty of the outdoors he works so hard to measure and map.
Caleb Decker
Meet Caleb Decker, a dynamic part of the Decker Land Surveying team, which he runs alongside his father, Cale. His responsibilities are diverse, covering everything from marketing and sales to pitching in with land surveying work during the warmer months.
Outside of the family business, Caleb is a dedicated student at St. Bonaventure University, where he's also a proud member of the Division 1 Men's Golf Team. Golf might be his sport of choice, but Caleb's love for the outdoors doesn't stop there. Whether it's fishing, hunting, or enjoying a leisurely round of golf, he's happiest when he's outside.
With eyes set on the future, Caleb is eager to expand his horizons within the surveying industry. Always eager to learn, he's excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
